I am writing today because I am exhausted — exhausted by the gaslighting, the excuses, and the blatant lies being fed to the American public while you continue to prop up a president whose policies are actively harming the very people you claim to represent.
The latest example? The $12 billion bailout now required to rescue American farmers — a crisis entirely manufactured by Trump’s own reckless decisions.
Let’s be honest:
His tariffs crushed farmers’ international sales.
He canceled the USAID food-buying program that helped stabilize agricultural demand.
He cut U.S. food pantry funding — reducing domestic demand.
He launched a trade war with China at the worst possible moment for soybean growers.
And what was your response?
You cheered. You defended it. You repeated talking points as though the American public couldn’t connect the dots.
Now, after creating the disaster, Trump throws billions at farmers and calls it “leadership.” And once again, you applaud instead of holding him accountable.
This isn’t representation.
It’s puppetry.
Every time you excuse this administration’s failures — whether it’s economic chaos, foreign policy blunders, attacks on democratic institutions, or deliberate misinformation — you send a clear message: your loyalty lies with one man, not with the people of this country.
Farmers aren’t fools. Workers aren’t fools. Families struggling with rising costs aren’t fools. We see exactly what’s happening: a government bending over backward to clean up the messes created by the very person you continue to enable.
You swore an oath to the Constitution — not to a political figure. So stop treating the American public like we can’t see the difference.
It’s time to show some independence, some integrity, and some courage. Because the people you represent deserve better than a Congress that hides behind slogans while our economy is set on fire and sold back to us as a victory.
Do your job.
