I am writing as your constituent to demand that Congress take immediate action to block the reported settlement deal between the Trump administration and the Department of Justice involving the IRS. This deal raises serious and alarming questions. Without independent oversight, there is no accountability for how taxpayer dollars are being allocated or whose pockets they may be lining. The American people deserve full transparency on any agreement that involves public funds — especially one negotiated by an administration that has already shown a willingness to bend institutional norms for personal and political benefit. Congress has both the authority and the obligation to intervene. We cannot allow taxpayer money to be quietly funneled through backroom deals with no checks, no balances, and no public accountability. This is not a partisan issue — it is a matter of fiscal responsibility and the rule of law. I urge you to: • Immediately call for full disclosure of the terms of this settlement • Demand independent oversight before any funds are disbursed • Use your congressional authority to block this deal until proper review is conducted Your constituents are watching. We expect you to stand up for transparency and protect our tax dollars from being used without our knowledge or consent. Thank you for your service and your attention to this urgent matter.
