Reinstate Women to Four-Star Military Ranks Immediately

To: Sen. Van Hollen, Sen. Alsobrooks, Rep. Elfreth

From: A verified voter in Arnold, MD

June 14

Reinstate the women who have been stripped of or denied four-star military rank. The United States no longer has a single woman serving at the four-star level — a direct result of gender-based discrimination that has no place in our armed forces and no justification in military readiness or merit. These are decorated officers who earned their positions. Removing or blocking them based on gender doesn't project strength — it signals to our allies and adversaries alike that we are willing to hollow out our own military leadership for political theater. That is a genuine national security risk, not a culture war win. Fix this. Restore these officers to their proper ranks and stop letting misogyny dictate military promotions.
