Axios and others are reporting that Dems are ready to cave on the shutdown in exchange for a December vote on health care. This would be a grave mistake and would be disrespectful of all the federal workers that have been going without pay in the effort. This household depends on federal salary and we are 100% against caving without a deal on health care subsidies. A DEAL, NOT A PROMISE OF A VOTE. Caving now would be the ultimate betrayal and would severely undermine the support that was demonstrated just last week in the elections. NO DEAL, NO REOPENING.
