The executive order barring transgender athletes from women's sports is a discriminatory and unconstitutional overreach. Transgender women are women, and banning them from participating in women's sports violates their civil rights and human dignity. This policy promotes harmful prejudices and stigmatizes an already marginalized group. Moreover, credible research shows that transgender women athletes do not have an inherent competitive advantage after undergoing hormone therapy. Rather than promoting fairness, this order enshrines bigotry and ignorance into law. It demands a forceful response to protect the rights of transgender Americans and uphold the constitutional principles of equal protection and due process. Preserving competitive integrity does not justify blanket discrimination based on gender identity. This misguided order must be immediately rescinded.
