Linda McMahon's nomination to lead the Department of Education is unacceptable and should be firmly rejected. As an unqualified individual with no experience in public education, McMahon poses a grave threat to our nation's students and the future of public schools. Her sole agenda seems to be expanding private school voucher programs that divert desperately needed funding away from public schools serving the vast majority of American students. Public schools are the backbone of our communities, providing high-quality education to all children regardless of background or circumstance. Funneling taxpayer dollars into private institutions that lack accountability and can discriminate against students undermines this vital role. Furthermore, McMahon's well-documented ties to the Trump administration raise serious concerns about her willingness to act independently in upholding students' civil rights protections. Our children deserve an Education Secretary committed to strengthening public education, not dismantling it. For the sake of our nation's future, this nomination must be stopped. I urge you to stand firm against Linda McMahon and any efforts to privatize our public schools through voucher schemes or other means. Every student has a fundamental right to an excellent public education, and our leaders must prioritize supporting robust, equitable public school systems that serve all children.
