I am a parent with children in the public school system and I'm writing to urge you to reject language from the Educational Choice for Children Act in the budget reconciliation bill. This provision is a scam that gives wealthy people tax shelters and sends billions of public dollars to private schools - while our public schools are already underfunded. I also urge you to reinstate the Department of Education with an actual educator as well who can further protect schools from scams like this. Future generations are depending on you.
