Reject Todd Blanche's Nomination as Attorney General. He’s Unfit to Lead the DOJ

Vote no on Todd Blanche's nomination as Attorney General. The evidence against him is overwhelming: over 1,200 former DOJ employees, 2,600+ attorneys organized by Lawyers for Good Government, and 101 former judges have all formally opposed him. The New York City Bar Association's letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee identifies five categories of disqualifying conduct, including politically motivated prosecutions and repeated violations of court orders. This isn't partisan noise, this is the legal community sounding an alarm. Blanche's record as Acting AG speaks for itself. He pursued what the NYC Bar called "flimsy" charges against former FBI Director James Comey, oversaw a $1.776 billion "weaponization fund" settlement that a federal judge nullified as "collusive," and presided over the departure of approximately 16,000 DOJ employees, including 4,000 lawyers. The Department of Justice cannot function as an independent institution under someone whose loyalty runs to the President rather than the law. I strongly urge you to reject his nomination.
