I am writing to demand immediate oversight and investigation into the ongoing and blatant self-enrichment of the Trump family while holding and operating around the highest office in the United States. The scale of profiteering, conflicts of interest, and apparent abuse of taxpayer resources surrounding Donald Trump’s family is staggering—and Congress’s continued silence is unacceptable. Americans are watching members of the president’s own family treat public office and taxpayer-funded resources like their personal ATM. The pattern is so blatant that it would trigger investigations in any functioning democracy. Yet Congress has largely looked the other way. Consider only a few of the examples that have been publicly reported: • Reports that Kai Trump used a taxpayer-funded Secret Service detail while filming a YouTube video at one of the most expensive grocery stores in the country. Secret Service protection exists to protect national security, not to serve as production security for influencer content. • Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump openly boasting on national television about business ventures and dealmaking while their father controls the federal government—including the Department of Defense. The brazen merging of private business promotion and political power is an ethical disaster waiting to explode. • Melania Trump reportedly selling a documentary project to Amazon under circumstances that many ethics experts say resemble a pay-to-play arrangement with a corporation that has enormous regulatory interests before the federal government. • Jared Kushner continuing to pursue massive land, hotel, and investment deals throughout the Middle East while maintaining deep connections to the administration that shapes U.S. foreign policy in that exact region. And those are only the incidents that have reached public view. Americans have every reason to suspect that much more is happening behind closed doors. This is not normal. It is not ethical. And it is not acceptable. No family connected to the presidency should be able to monetize proximity to power at this scale. When relatives of a sitting president leverage their position for private enrichment, it erodes public trust, corrupts policymaking, and undermines the integrity of the federal government. Congress has both the authority and the constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight when conflicts of interest and potential corruption arise at the highest levels of government. That responsibility does not disappear because the individuals involved happen to share the president’s last name. Therefore I am demanding: 1. Immediate congressional hearings into the business dealings of Trump family members while Donald Trump occupies the presidency. 2. Full disclosure of all federal resources used by members of the Trump family, including Secret Service allocations and taxpayer-funded logistics. 3. A comprehensive investigation into financial relationships between Trump family businesses and corporations or foreign governments that have interests before the United States government. 4. Public transparency regarding any financial benefit derived from proximity to presidential power. The American people deserve to know whether the presidency is being used to serve the country—or to enrich a single family. Your silence sends a dangerous message: that political power places certain people above scrutiny. That cannot be allowed to stand. Investigate this. Hold hearings. Demand records. Do your job. The American public is watching and ready to vote you out if you do nothing to stop this.
