I've written to you before. While I assume you'll ignore my wisdom again, I want history to know that I've tried, again, to talk sense to my representatives.
Congress holds the power over tariffs. You've ignored that and let the president dance all over your authority.
Congress holds the power over funding. You've ignored that and let the president dance all over your authority.
Congress holds the power over agencies. You've ignored that and let the president dance all over your authority.
Congress holds the power over laws. You've ignored that and let the president dance all over your authority.
Now, the same president wants the power of war. A war with a country that we did not have any particular issue with. In truth, I think he wants war because his birthday parade was a sad travesty and not the glorious adoration he wanted.
Stop giving up the authority of congress to such a sad little man. Do you fear he'll give you a rude nickname? Your constituents already have.
The people called for No Kings and if you let him have war, without the authority of Congress, you'll be ignoring the people. Again.
Don't. Find your spine and do what is right for Nebraska and the Nation.
