Vote to end Operation Epic Fury immediately. On April 3, we lost two combat aircraft in a single day—an F-15E over Iran and an A-10 near the Strait of Hormuz. One crew member is still missing. The rescue helicopter took small arms fire and multiple crew were injured. This is not progress. This is escalation.
The White House claimed Iranian radar was "100 percent annihilated" and the operation was "nearing completion." Yet our pilots are being shot down by shoulder-fired missiles that don't emit radar signals and can't be suppressed by electronic warfare. We've now lost five manned aircraft, 17 drones, eight tankers, and two AWACS planes. The bill is over $3 billion. Every search and rescue mission puts more lives at risk in the same threat environment that just killed these aircraft.
The President calls this the "cost of war," but Congress never authorized this war. Sending more fighter squadrons and B-52 strikes will only deepen the disaster. Commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has stopped entirely, threatening 20% of global oil and gas supply. This conflict serves no American interest worth the lives we're losing. Bring them home.
