Sway swing state voters with arms embargo
To: V.P. Harris
From: A constituent in Beaverton, OR
August 19
Over one-third of Democratic voters in key swing states like Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania have indicated they would be more likely to vote for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election if she agreed to an arms embargo on Israel. This stance comes amid Israel's prolonged war on Gaza that has killed over 40,000 Palestinians, half of whom were women and children. While the Biden administration has steadfastly supported Israel throughout the conflict despite repeated massacres of civilians, voters are demanding accountability. An arms embargo would pressure Israel to end the devastating war and push for a ceasefire. As a leader truly valuing human rights and Palestinian lives, agreeing to cut off weapons sales would bolster Harris' support among a significant portion of the Democratic base in crucial battleground states. This aligns with the will of the people demanding an end to supplying arms used for atrocities against civilians.
