You must oppose the SAVE Act (H.R. 22 / S. 128) and any expanded versions, including the “SAVE Act Plus” or “Super SAVE Act.” This legislation would not enhance election security, but instead make the voter registration process more difficult and suppress eligible voters.
The SAVE Act, despite its name, will severely limit eligible voter participation by creating unnecessary hurdles and actively disenfranchising lawfully eligible voters, including:
- Requiring extra paperwork to prove citizenship, much of which is either expensive to obtain or does not meet requirements due to name changes, etc.
- Disrupting modern registration methods by limiting online, mail-in, and community registration options - making it much harder for rural residents, seniors, students, disabled voters, and working people to register
- Imposing harsh penalties on election officials, encouraging them to reject valid registrations out of fear, and opens the door to unnecessary lawsuits.
- Expanded versions would further add burdensome voter roll purges and data collection requirements, risking the mass removal of eligible voters.
Speaking in Rome, Georgia on February 19, 2026, Trump told the audience that if the Senate passes this act, “We’ll never lose a race. For 50 years, we won’t lose a race.”
Please stand against the SAVE Act and protect every American’s right to a vote that counts.
