Urgent assistance: UK citizen Katie Paul ICE arrest during green card interview

To: Sen. Young, Rep. Carson, Sen. Banks

From: A constituent in Indianapolis, IN

November 22

I am writing to urgently request your assistance regarding the detention of my friend, Katie Paul, who was taken into ICE custody during her green card interview. Katie is a UK citizen, married to a U.S. citizen, and the mother of an infant. Despite having no criminal history and fully complying with the immigration process, she was detained without warning. Most distressingly, her baby was taken from her arms during the arrest. This has caused profound emotional trauma to both Katie and her family. This situation raises serious concerns about the proportionality and humanity of the actions taken against her. I respectfully ask that your office look into her case, ensure she receives due process, and advocate for her release so she can reunite with her family. No family should be torn apart in this way. I urge you to help bring justice and compassion to Katie’s case and to others facing similar circumstances. Thank you for your attention and for your service to our community. I am grateful for any support you can provide.
