Investigate and Restrict AIPAC's Foreign-Influenced Political Spending
To: Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla, Rep. Chu

September 4
Take action to investigate and restrict AIPAC's influence over American elections and lawmaking. No foreign-aligned lobbying organization should be able to spend at the scale AIPAC does — breaking campaign spending records cycle after cycle — while shaping U.S. foreign policy in ways that serve another government's interests over our own. We would never accept this level of outside control from any other foreign-aligned power, and there is no principled reason to accept it here.
This is not about ethnicity or religion. It is about accountability and sovereignty. Investigative journalist Eli Clifton and scholar Ian Lustick document in their new book how the lobby has not only distorted Washington politics but actively accelerated Israel's own ideological radicalization — and now threatens civil liberties on American soil. The legal changes that enabled this influence were not inevitable. They were allowed to happen. That means they can be reversed. Push for full transparency in foreign-influenced political spending and close the loopholes that let organizations like AIPAC operate with so little oversight. American voters deserve to know who is buying their representation.
