I’m writing because Donald Trump is now pushing the United States toward an illegal, manufactured war with Venezuela — a nation we are not in conflict with — for no reason except to consolidate his power and enrich himself and his allies. That alone should trigger immediate action from Congress. But it’s only the newest entry in a long, unmistakable pattern.
Then we have his tariff decisions: punishing Ukraine, a democratic ally, while exempting Russia — a dictatorship that has repeatedly attacked U.S. interests. This is not legitimate foreign policy. It is deliberate harm to democracies and deliberate favor to authoritarian powers.
At some point, you have to call this what it is: a pattern of actions that assist hostile powers and injure the United States. That is the definition of treason.
Nothing Trump does serves the American people. Everything serves his finances, his ego, or his illegal claim to power.
So let me put this to you directly — and yes, the questions are rhetorical, but I still expect real answers:
Do you have enough proof yet?
What exactly are you waiting for?
If your hesitation is tied to fear of political backlash, then say so. If it’s something else, name it. If it’s not that, then tell me:
How many Americans have to die in a war Trump provokes before you decide he has gone too far?
Give me a number. I want to know the threshold — the number of flag-draped coffins you’re willing to accept before you’ll finally stand up and say his actions are dangerous, corrupt, and disloyal to this country.
Because if you’re not willing to hold him accountable when he aids hostile regimes, attacks democratic allies, and pushes us toward unnecessary conflict, then the public deserves to know exactly how many of us have to suffer for you to stop ignoring it.
You swore an oath to defend the Constitution. That oath demands courage — not silence.
I am demanding a clear, public response.
