Vote No on Veronica Lambertsen's Confirmation to Police Standards Council
To: Sen. Giessel, Rep. Kopp
From: A verified voter in Anchorage, AK
April 23
Vote no on Veronica Lambertsen's confirmation to the Alaska Police Standards Council. Her appointment is disqualifying on multiple grounds, and confirming her would undermine public trust in law enforcement oversight.
Lambertsen's publicly accessible Facebook page promotes dangerous conspiracy theories that demonstrate a fundamental inability to distinguish fact from fiction. She questions whether the Holocaust happened, stating she doesn't believe "we're being told the true story about it." She has posted that the Earth is flat, the moon landing was faked, 9/11 was caused by "project blue beam technology," and that 50,000 clones walk among us. She promotes QAnon conspiracy theories and suggested adrenochrome harvesting from children is "a question that should be asked." When Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Matt Claman questioned her directly, she defended these posts and refused to affirm basic historical and scientific facts.
The Police Standards Council investigates police misconduct and sets statewide law enforcement standards. This position requires sound judgment and the ability to evaluate evidence objectively. Lambertsen has demonstrated neither. She also appears ineligible for the seat due to residency requirements, as Sen. Löki Tobin pointed out.
Reject this nomination.
