I am writing to you today regarding our public lands. The actions of this current administration toward the National Park Service and other public land workers is unacceptable. It’s clear that the goal of this administration is to destroy our public lands for profit. These lands belong to all Americans. We demand that you reinstate all public lands workers, fully fund the National Park Service, and stop destroying OUR NATURAL RESOURCES. No more harvesting national forests for profit. No more destruction of public lands due to ranch owners. Revoke the right of ranchers to use public lands for raising cattle. Enact policies that restore beavers to all states. No sale of our public lands, ever, period. No offshore drilling. No sale of mineral or oil rights. No policies that harm protected species. No policies that enable the killing of predator species such as bears, wolves, and coyotes. These lands are our future, and they are precious. We MUST protect them for not only future generations of Americans to enjoy, but for our very survival as a species. We are a large nation, and what we do has global consequences, in so many ways. Most important to this issue is climate change. Protecting our lands is key in fighting climate change. We demand that our representatives support drastic, scientifically sound, and comprehensive climate change fighting policies.
