Investigate Halted Drugs-For-Votes Case

To: Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody, Rep. Rutherford

From: A verified voter in Saint Augustine, FL

May 10

I'm writing to ask that you open a congressional inquiry into the DOJ's handling of an election fraud case in Puerto Rico. Federal investigators had built a case showing a prison gang distributed drugs to inmates in exchange for votes in the 2024 gubernatorial election - then days after the election, prosecutors were directed to remove all voting-related charges, and the lead investigator was later told to stop pursuing the case. Federal officials deny political interference, and the governor has not been charged with wrongdoing, but the circumstances warrant congressional oversight. I'm asking you to use your oversight authority to find out who made this decision and why. Thank you for your time.
