Governor Newsom, I urge you to take a firm public stand against any attempt by the federal government to deploy the National Guard for mass deportations or circumvent Supreme Court authority. California must not cooperate with unconstitutional actions that violate due process, states' rights, or the separation of powers. Please commit to refusing any 287(g) participation, blocking unauthorized National Guard use, and expanding state protections for vulnerable communities. In this moment, California's leadership can be a beacon of liberty and justice. Stand strong.
