NO to a taxpayer-funded White House ballroom

To: Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

May 1

Why is this Republican administration now asking American taxpayers to pay for the unneeded White House ballroom? That ballroom, if built, was supposed to be paid for by private donors, as administration officials have stated many times. Americans are currently struggling to find affordable healthcare, affordable groceries, and affordable gas. We should not have to pay for an expensive vanity project. My wife and I are completely opposed to American taxpayers footing the bill for a ballroom. We urge you to block any attempt by this administration to have struggling Americans fund this luxury project.
