Rep. Barrett, I know you are encouraged to parrot your party line, but you do yourself no favor by repeating blatant lies that only MAGA fanatics are going to believe. The government is shut down because YOU and your party want to take away health care from millions and millions of AMERICAN CITIZENS, not because the Democrats want to give health care to illegal immigrants (though, to be honest, I would rather us pay for the health care of ANYONE in this country that needs it regardless of the status of their documentation.) The Democrats do not have control of the White House, the Senate and the House. Your party does. It is the GOP who is incapable of governing and is intent on seeing people suffer. You and the GOP have shown that you are willing to deport legal citizens and to take away citizenship status from those who have earned it, so don't feed us more lies about the government being shut down because of Democrats. How about you make sure the Affordable Care Act subsidies are protected? That's far more important to me, to Lansing residents and to your constituents than your fear-mongering. Stop trying to take away health coverage for millions of working Americans.
