I want you to vote to keep funding for public education, and keep the Department of Education! Our children deserve a free and public education. America is lagging behind globally in the area of education. Cuts will only continue the further decline of our nation. Students need consistent educational opportunities. The Department of Education provided consistent leadership and protections for students and teachers. We need high standards for schools. Tearing apart the Department of Education is despicable and vile. I will not vote for or support any representative who contributes to the dismantling. As your constituent, I urge you to support public education with both policy and funding.
