Open a formal investigation into Elon Musk and X for alleged election interference in the 2024 presidential election, and prosecute everyone implicated if the evidence warrants it. No one's net worth should place them beyond the reach of federal law. The evidence already in the public record demands this. A whistleblower identifying themselves as a former X employee alleged that X's algorithm was deliberately manipulated to push pro-Trump content, that thousands of fake AI-generated accounts were deployed, and that foreign governments including Russia, Iran, and Israel were knowingly allowed to run influence operations on the platform. Those allegations sit alongside a 277-page FBI affidavit from the September 2024 Doppelganger prosecution, which identified X as a target platform for Russia's "Good Old USA Project" and described methods that mirror the whistleblower's account almost point for point: fabricated news, artificial amplification, targeted psychological messaging, and fake personas designed to manipulate swing-state voters. The Wall Street Journal reported that Musk maintained regular contact with Vladimir Putin from at least 2022 onward. Musk moved to acquire Twitter just 49 days after Russia invaded Ukraine. These are not coincidences that deserve to be filed away. With the midterms approaching, the integrity of the next election depends on whether anyone in power is willing to treat this evidence seriously. Investigate it. Follow it wherever it leads. Then prosecute.
