Vote to pass the 21st Century Road to Housing Act without conditions, and reject the SAVE America Act outright. Trump killed a bill signing ceremony hours before it was scheduled — holding housing relief hostage to a voter suppression package that already failed in the Senate. That's not governance. That's extortion. The housing bill passed 358-32 in the House and 85-5 in the Senate. Families across this country are being crushed by housing costs, and Congress delivered a rare, genuine solution. The SAVE America Act is the price Trump is demanding to sign it — a bill election experts have called "the most restrictive voting bill ever," one that would ban universal mail-in voting, mandate monthly voter roll purges, and require a passport or birth certificate just to register. This isn't about election integrity. It's about locking in political power by making it harder for Americans to vote. This is a pattern. Trump tried to attach the SAVE Act to budget reconciliation. He threatened a DHS shutdown over it. Now he's blocking housing relief. Don't reward that strategy. Override the veto if it comes to that, and let the SAVE America Act die where it belongs.
