PlayStation's move to go all digital and stop all physical release of games is anti consumers. Since digital purchase are technically revokable license, Sony could pull someones purchase with no warning or compensation for their hundreds of dollars worth of purchases. We have seen this earlier this week when PlayStation purged their customers movie libraries, filled with movies they payed for, because Sony's licenses expired. This problem is not limited to Sony but all across the tech/media/gaming landscape. If they continue to do this unashamedly behavior, leaving the customers holding the bag, it's only fair that government steps in and hold them accountable. The ask is simple, if they want to revoke a digital asset, like a game, movie or music that has been paid for then the companies should reimburse their customers at least 1.5x the rate they were originally purchased from. We must protect a consumer rights to own what they pay for.
