Democratic convention should include Palestinian voices for peace

To: Sen. Padilla, Rep. Kamlager-Dove, Sen. Butler

From: A constituent in Los Angeles, CA

August 22

The Democratic Party has long advocated for a peaceful two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However, denying a platform to Palestinian voices at this pivotal convention sends the wrong message. Allowing a few minutes for a Palestinian American speaker would demonstrate an authentic commitment to resolving this complex situation through dialogue and mutual understanding. Such an inclusive approach could help mobilize crucial support within the Arab American community for the party's vision. I urge you to reconsider this decision and make space for Palestinian perspectives to be heard on the convention stage. A lasting peace requires amplifying all affected voices.
