Oppose HR 8250: Parents Decide Act

To: Sen. Kelly, Rep. Biggs, Sen. Gallego

From: A constituent in Gilbert, AZ

April 20

Hello, I am writing in opposition to the newly proposed House Bill 8250: Parents Decide Act. I believe that this bill is extremely harmful and violates our right to privacy and anonymity on the internet. Requiring age verification for all citizens could result in large scale government surveillance, and retaliation against minority groups. I understand that there are many dangers for children on the internet, but age verification is not the solution, and will lead to more and more security issues down the line. Please oppose this bill and any bills about mandatory age verification.
