Stop TSA from sharing passenger lists with ICE

To: Sen. Padilla, Rep. Jacobs, Sen. Schiff

From: A verified voter in San Diego, CA

December 14

On December 12, 2025, the New York Times reported that the Transportation Security Administration is providing passenger lists to Immigration and Customs Enforcement to identify and detain travelers subject to deportation orders. I am calling on you to investigate this. There is an ICE office in California called the Pacific Enforcement Response Center which allegedly plays a key role in coordinating the sharing of information from TSA to ICE. As one of my elected representatives from California, I am asking you to investigate what’s happening at that office within your state. It’s also highly concerning that TSA is apparently sharing info about ALL air passengers with ICE multiple times a week, violating the privacy and rights of ALL travelers. Moreover, I’m concerned this has put the machinery in place for the Trump administration to track and target any person they wish to harass or threaten in the future, even people who are not subject to any immigration enforcement actions. Please take action to block the routine sharing of air passenger information from TSA to ICE. Please make a public statement about what actions you will take to address this. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.
