It is a shame that Governor Healy has contracted with Open AI. Not only is AI bad for the environment, using massive amounts of electricity, the price of which is placed on the backs of everyone, it also uses up drinking water. We are in a climate crisis and are on the precipice of water precarity. Furthermore, Sam Altman is a Trump stooge and enabler. Our taxpayer money shouldn't be going to subsidize this job ending AI boondoggle. The only way these AI companies make money is by displacing large swaths of the human labor force. This is poor leadership of behalf of Healey. She should be ashamed. I have to wonder about her ethics, to display such a monumental lapse in judgement.
