I believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and the rule of law. What I am witnessing today from the Department of Homeland Security under Secretary Kristi Noem and President Trump is a betrayal of every single one of those principles. The current "enforcement" actions being executed by ICE are not the "law and order" we voted for. They are the actions of a police state. We are seeing federal agents acting with the kind of unchecked, militarized aggression that we used to criticize in authoritarian regimes, not accept in the United States of America. This is federal overreach at its absolute worst. These draconian raids are shattering the peace of our communities, violating the constitutional due process rights of individuals, and wreaking havoc on our local economies. Small businesses and agricultural operations—the backbone of our district—are being destabilized by this chaos. President Trump and Secretary Noem have perverted the mission of the DHS. Instead of protecting the homeland, they are using federal power to terrorize communities and override local control. This is not conservative; it is big-government tyranny. Our representatives are supposed to stand up for individual liberty and dignity, not jackbooted tactics and families torn apart without due process. By allowing this to continue, you are complicit in staining the soul of our country and handing our enemies moral ammunition for a generation. I demand that you stand up for the Constitution and true conservative principles. I demand that you introduce or support articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump and Secretary Kristi Noem immediately for their gross abuse of power and violation of their oaths of office. If you refuse to act against this authoritarian overreach, do not expect the support of principled conservatives in the next primary. Do your duty.
