President Biden,
You are ignoring your constituents.
All of the protests all over the US are on behalf of the indigenous peoples of Palestine. They aren’t children throwing tantrums. They are the young adults that inherit this mess you’ve helped Israel make in the Middle East. They are the young adults who inherit the trauma and damage you’re inflicting on large human populations and the environment. It was bad enough that you’ve completely ignored the spiking rates of homelessness and poverty in this, our own nation, but now that you’ve consistently sent ALL of our tax dollars to insulate a foreign state, people have HAD it. People are done cutting you slack. Just not being “as bad as Trump” is no longer sufficient. You did nothing to ensure women’s bodily autonomy. You’ve done nothing to help the starving and unhoused here. You’ve done next to nothing to repair our crumbling infrastructure. I hope you see how neither you, nor Harris, will be receiving votes from the huge swath of Americans who see how you’ve abandoned us in favor of your pal Netanyahu and in favor of corporate lobbies. You’ve ruined your family name for your grandchildren, and you’ve convinced a large percentage of Americans that not only does their vote and their contributions to society mean nothing, but that the only way forward from now on, is against corporations and against our own police state.
I voted for you. I will never make that mistake again.
