Support the billionaire tax proposal.

One one thousandth of the population hold three times the combined wealth of the poorest 50%. This startling fact was descovered in 2025's World Inequality Report. Adding to this, a recent Lending Tree survey found that a quarter of their "Buy Now, Pay Later" loans were used to pay for groceries, underlining that a growing number of families in the US are going into debt just trying to survive. On top of all this, homelessness is now the highest it has ever been, up 18 percent last year, and it has been increasing sharply every year since the pandemic. California has one of the highest rates of homelessness. If you think this is the fault of the homeless, you are blind. A group of politicians have responded to this with a tax that could help correct this problem -- a one time, 5% tax on billionaires that is being called the "emergency billionaires tax". If you have an iota of decency in you, you will support this proposal. If you don't, it will be clear you do not have the interests of your constituents in mind, and you are just another politician captured by the oligarch class. Do the right thing. Tax the billionaires. It's what the people want.
