I am writing out of deep concern regarding recent statements made by President Donald Trump, particularly those posted on Easter Sunday. The language used was not only reckless and inflammatory, but it also suggested a willingness to escalate conflict in a way that could endanger American lives and global stability.
This type of rhetoric is unacceptable from any leader, let alone the President of the United States. Threatening language toward another nation, combined with erratic and hostile messaging, raises serious questions about judgment, stability, and fitness to serve.
Congress cannot ignore this.
The Constitution provides Congress with both the authority and the responsibility to act as a check on executive power. When a president engages in dangerous conduct or rhetoric that could lead to unauthorized military conflict, it is your duty to intervene.
I urge you to:
• Publicly condemn these statements
• Investigate any actions or intentions related to escalating conflict
• Seriously consider impeachment proceedings based on conduct that threatens national and international security
This is not about partisanship. It is about protecting the country, upholding the Constitution, and ensuring that no president is above accountability.
Failure to act in the face of this behavior sets a dangerous precedent.
I ask that you take immediate and decisive action.
