Proposed sale of public lands

To: Rep. Dexter, Sen. Merkley, Sen. Wyden

From: A verified voter in Portland, OR

May 21

I reject the proposed sale of 500,000 acres of public land. This is theft dressed up as fiscal policy. These are not “surplus acres.” These are wild places held in trust – mountains, prairies, canyons. I oppose all attempts to sell public lands, and to waive NEPA and the Endangered Species Act and to enact logging mandates and fossil fuel giveaways. Our beloved public lands must not become goodies for fossil fuel and mining companies.
