Competitive pay is not only a matter of respect but a necessary step to address teacher shortages, retain talented educators, and recruit new professionals into our classrooms. Allowing this support to lapse would jeopardize our ability to provide quality education for Nevada’s students. Renewing and extending the matching fund program would send a clear message that Nevada values its educators and is committed to strengthening its public schools. Investing in our teachers is an investment in the future of Nevada’s children.
