Donald Trump has caused extraordinary damage to the United States as the worst president in history. My central concern is Trump’s concentration of power. He has weakened constitutional checks and balances, sidelined Congress, and governed largely through 279 executive orders. His tariff policies are costly to American families and harmful to global trade. His attempts to challenge birthright citizenship and expand the White House are further examples of his disregard for legal and ethical limits. Trump has deepened political polarization and used the presidency to enrich himself and his family. In foreign policy, he has abandoned America’s longstanding commitment to alliances, weakened NATO, aided Russia by withholding support from Ukraine, and alienated treaty partners. Finally, his approach to Iran could create a catastrophic, prolonged conflict. Overall, Trump’s leadership is a threat to American democratic institutions, economic stability, international alliances, and the country’s standing in the world.
