I honestly cannot believe I am writing the following sentence to an elected official of the United States of America  -- it is not okay to have a concentration camp-like detention center in the swamps of Florida detaining any human being without due process.  If this isn't gross enough, Republicans are selling merchandise and the President has said the "concept" is for detainees to get eaten by alligators. This is a camp that we built with FEMA dollars in under 10 days, consists of tents, and doesn't have running water.  As a reminder, the July temperatures in Florida are in the mid 90s with humidity and threats of hurricanes.  Please go spend 72 hours living like a detainee before you tell Americans this is humane treatment and representative of our humanitarian values.
