Restore Funding to NPR, PBS, USAID

To: Sen. Schmitt, Rep. Wagner, Sen. Hawley

From: A verified voter in Defiance, MO

June 14

The federal funding cuts recently passed by the U.S. House to NPR, PBS, and crucial foreign aid programs are misguided and harmful. Public broadcasting provides essential educational programming and unbiased journalism to millions of Americans. Meanwhile, foreign assistance supports democratic values, promotes stability, and advances U.S. strategic interests abroad. Slashing these budgets is short-sighted and will undermine access to objective information as well as America's global leadership. I urge you to reject these funding cuts and restore appropriate funding levels for NPR, PBS, and USAID that reflect their vital roles and positive impacts both domestically and internationally.
