There are a variety of demands that are being discussed with regard to DHS/ICE/CBP and I’d like to see most of them implemented, especially the basic 10 that are being widely discussed. I would request the following: 1) violation of court orders MUST immediately freeze funding for that agency/department until such time as the order has been met. 2) other critical failure metrics must be devised and tied to funding as well There will be opposition, so it is essential that #2 focus on those issues that are egregious. The mechanisms that measure the failure metrics, trigger consequences, and reevaluate compliance must be accurate and swift.
