Release the Epstein files- who are you protecting?

To: Rep. Messmer, Sen. Young, Sen. Banks

From: A constituent in Mount Vernon, IN

July 29

The President committed to releasing the Epstein case files when campaigning. In fact, it was one of his main promises and when asked if he’d release the files. He answered "Yeah, yeah, I would." His AG has said “everything's going to come out to the public” (Bondi quote). The Phase I notebooks were released. Many in this administration (Patel, Bongino) have made firm commitments to full disclosure (with victim protections). Do you support release of this information and if not, why not? By not releasing them, I interpret that as protecting yourself or close associates or perhaps the President? The victims’ lawyers have stated the victims would like to see them released so long as their names and information is protected. If you do support release, what are you doing to expedite this release? I support full transparency with this release. This issue is not going away. We will not forget. I expect a straightforward, clear answer and accountability for the children and young women assaulted.
