This war in Iran needs to end. As my elected representative please do everything in your power to make that happen.
The American people didn’t ask for this, and we’re already paying for it — at the gas station, and soon likely at the grocery store too. These aren’t talking points. They’re real pressures on real families.
And it’s not just us. Global food and energy markets are being disrupted. People in nations that are supposed to be our allies are feeling the consequences of a war they had no say in. That’s not leadership. We’re supposed be a global leader.
We’re building up a level of anti-American sentiment that is a direct, long-term security threat. I’ve lived through one 9/11. I don’t want to live it again.
Alliances don’t survive indefinitely when our actions cause the suffering of our allies’ own people. We can’t keep expecting the world to stand with us when we’re acting like a rogue state.
Please — act. The damage this is doing, economically, diplomatically, and to our security, is not going to be easy to undo.
