It has been widely reported that Senator Lisa Murkowski has extracted additional protections and carve outs to protect her constituents in Alaska from cuts in this ill advised and irresponsible budget reconciliation bill. Why? Because she has explicitly stated that this so called Big Beautiful Bill will have ugly brutal consequencess that will hurt Alaska and her constituents! Never mind how unfair this is to every other state. Never mind that it violates the Byrd Rule. Turns out - folks need SNAP and Medicaid! The ugly stupid reconciliation bill will also hurt us - your constituents in your state will face ugly consequences from these cuts. We pay the same taxes as those in Alaska so I ask you why don't we get the same deal? Why are you not fighting for our access to federal programs? What are you doing to protect your constituents and your state? Why are you not demanding that WE in YOUR state - your constituents - keep SNAP and Medicaid? Where are our carve outs? Where are our special protections? Furthermore, as hurricane season approaches and tornado alley flairs up, we would also like it guaranteed that FEMA will be there for us. Follow Lisa. Do not sell us out. We expect you to use your vote to ensure we also retain access to crucial government programs. We will vote you out of office if you fail to get our state what it deserves. We will not accept less than Alaska.
