I'm calling on you to immediately begin impeachment proceedings against President Trump and support invoking the 25th Amendment. His threat that "a whole civilization will die tonight" crosses every line. This isn't negotiation. It's unhinged.
Multiple members of Congress, including Rep. Yassamin Ansari and Rep. Ilhan Omar, have already called for his removal. Rep. Sarah McBride put it plainly: "Trump must go—and Republicans, whether in the Cabinet or Congress, must join Democrats in using any and all constitutional powers at our collective disposal to end this illegal war." She's right.
The 25th Amendment exists for exactly this scenario: a president unable to discharge his duties. His Cabinet should invoke it. If they won't, Congress must impeach. Rep. Betty McCollum warned "The President's cabinet should take notice." I'm warning you: your constituents are watching.
Force an impeachment vote. Send a letter to the Cabinet demanding they act. Use the war powers vote later this month. Do something. The fate of U.S. troops and millions of Iranian civilians hangs in the balance while you deliberate. This is your constitutional duty.
