Thank you for your continued leadership in defending democracy and protecting the rights of all Americans. Your voice has been a beacon of courage in a time when truth and integrity are under siege. I am writing out of deep concern over reports that senior administration officials—Stephen Miller and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth—have discussed deploying the 82nd Airborne Division against U.S. citizens in Portland, Oregon. Heather Cox Richardson’s October 4th newsletter outlined a disturbing Signal conversation between Miller’s deputy and one of Hegseth’s senior advisors about using an elite combat force meant for foreign war zones here at home. This goes beyond bad judgment—it is authoritarianism in motion. These men appear eager to wage war on Americans who dare to dissent. It’s dangerous, unconstitutional, and morally repugnant. I urge you to use your platform to: — Investigate the roles of Miller and Hegseth in planning domestic military action and demand their immediate resignations. — Support legislation banning federal funds from being used for unauthorized military operations on U.S. soil. — Reinforce and expand the Posse Comitatus Act to ensure this kind of abuse never happens again. You have always stood up for those without power. Please continue leading the charge to protect our democracy from those who would burn it down for political gain.
