I am a constituent from Northeast Portland, and I stand in full agreement with Senator Bernie Sanders: Congress must act now. I am calling on you to oppose the Trump administration's "emergency" $200 billion funding request for war and to immediately support the Joint Resolutions of Disapproval (JRDs) to block the sale of 22,000 bombs to Israel. To Senator Merkley: Thank you for co-sponsoring these resolutions. I urge you to use your position on the Foreign Relations Committee to force a floor vote and lead the opposition. To Senator Wyden and Rep. Dexter: The American people do not want this war. I expect you to join your colleagues and stand against the use of our tax dollars to fuel regional escalation in Iran and Lebanon. No more weapons for an illegal and unconstitutional war. Our priorities must be health care and housing at home, not bombs abroad.
