For months I have written asking if you supported Catholics. Clearly Republicans have an extremely narrow definition of religious freedom. I am deeply disturbed to watch your party attack every person of faith who doesn’t follow a Trump led version of Christianity. Just like the poem. First they came for.... First it was Islam, Muslim, Jews, atheists and now it's Catholics and main stream Christians. Who is left? Christian nationalists, and blood lusting war mongers? The Des Moines Diocese had a 50% increase in baptisms on Easter. And now you attack Catholics. Catholics make up 20% of the American population. How dare you stand by silently as your constituents are being attacked. You support Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Homan and Mike Johnson. ALL have very publicly rebuked the Pope. He Republican party is the immoral and blasphemous. You are CONGRESS you have powers. No matter how much you hate to work, you are elected with the expectation to use your powers. You are the guardrails to the president and you appointed his Cabinet. So you either do something, or you do nothing. Actions speak louder than words. You don't just protect pedophiles, you protect false prophets, criminals and fraudsters. Republicans are the most immoral, unethical people around. Your inaction is condoning the attacks on core American principals such as the first amendment. I miss the Republican party that actually loved this country. Now, every day is a new low. The way you rule this country is un-American. I don't know what happened to congress. You barely do any work (and what little work you do doesn't take your constituents into consideration at all) but you keep collecting my tax dollar funded paychecks. At this point, the Pope is more American than you.
