An Open Letter

The continued provision of offensive weapons to Israel amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza raises grave concerns about civilian casualties and the perpetuation of violence. By sending over $1 billion in new arms and ammunition, including tank rounds and tactical vehicles, the administration risks enabling further escalation and suffering. While supporting Israel's security is understandable, arming one side so generously undermines efforts towards a peaceful resolution that addresses the root causes of the conflict and protects all civilian populations. I urge you to reconsider this arms transfer and instead use your influence to promote an immediate ceasefire, protection of civilians, and renewed negotiations towards a just and lasting peace. The cycle of violence must end, and providing the means for more destruction is antithetical to these goals.
