Reject Burgum's National Park Funding Cuts and the Presidential Capital Stewardship Program
To: Rep. Biggs, Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego
From: A constituent in Gilbert, AZ
June 2
Reject the funding cuts to our national parks and block the Presidential Capital Stewardship Program. Secretary Burgum's agenda threatens the very infrastructure and staffing that keep these lands accessible and protected. These parks belong to the public, and gutting their budgets is a betrayal of that trust.
National parks generate billions in local economic activity and serve millions of visitors every year. Cutting their funding doesn't save money — it shifts the cost onto communities, future generations, and the ecosystems that can't speak for themselves. The Presidential Capital Stewardship Program compounds this damage by redirecting resources away from conservation priorities that have broad, bipartisan public support.
Stand against these cuts. Use every tool available — appropriations, oversight hearings, public statements — to stop Secretary Burgum from dismantling what generations of Americans built and preserved. This is not a partisan issue. It's about whether we take our responsibility to public lands seriously.
