Vote no on FISA reauthorization until the data broker loophole is closed. This loophole allows government agencies to purchase Americans' personal data from brokers without a warrant, completely bypassing Fourth Amendment protections.
The government should not be able to buy what it cannot legally obtain through a warrant. Data brokers collect and sell our location data, browsing history, and personal information. When agencies purchase this data instead of getting a warrant, they're conducting surveillance on Americans who have committed no crime and have no idea they're being watched.
AI-powered surveillance makes this even more dangerous. The technology to track, analyze, and predict our behavior already exists. Closing this loophole now is the only way to prevent mass surveillance from becoming the norm.
I expect you to protect my constitutional right to privacy. Close the data broker loophole before voting on FISA reauthorization.
